Değişim / Dönüşüm
A successful politician, a former lawyer struggling with past addictions, and secrets that unravel in a single day… The seemingly perfect marriage of Mine and Tarık is thrown into turmoil as the truths they have hidden come to light. "Change/Transformation" explores the cost of a person's desire to change both the world and themselves, set against a backdrop of love, loyalty, power, addiction, and conscience. Thomas Ostermeier, who directed Chekhov's "The Seagull" at the Barbican Theatre in London in 2025 with Cate Blanchett in the lead role, is now making his debut in a theatrical production in Turkey. This collaboration between one of the world's most important and influential directors and a Turkish cast and production team marks a historic moment for Turkish theatre. The play, written by Maja Zade and which caused a sensation at the Berlin Schaubühne, brings Timuçin Esen back to the stage after 20 years, and pairs him with the award-winning actress Funda Eryiğit. In this adaptation written by Timuçin Esen, the two actors bring 22 different characters to life, delivering a powerful performance.
