After living in Taiwan for many years, Ah Yao returns to Malaysia for his father's funeral. Expecting a peaceful Taoist ceremony, he finds himself caught in an unexpected conflict. When it is revealed that his father had secretly converted to Islam, religious authorities insist that the body must be buried in a Muslim cemetery. Ah Yao and his siblings, determined to uphold family traditions, find themselves embroiled in an increasingly absurd and darkly humorous adventure as they try to reclaim the body. This multi-generational story, spanning from China to Malaysia, explores the concepts of home and belonging with a warm and witty tone.
