We're meeting with nature lovers again, this time at Lake Çubuk.

Hello everyone;

Our activity will begin at the Çubuk Lake Nature Park, and we will embark on a 14km hiking trail through stunning scenery. As we reach an altitude of 1459 meters, the view of Çubuk Lake will accompany us. Afterwards, we will begin our descent and make our way back to the starting point.

Çubuk Lake Nature Park:

Located 11 kilometers north of the district of Göynük, Çubuk Lake is surrounded by beautiful pine forests and covers an area of 15 hectares, with an average depth of 13 meters. Windmills built in previous years for a film shoot add a unique charm to the area.

Breakfast:

We will have breakfast at a suitable location and then proceed to the starting point of our route.

Lunch:

We will stop for a picnic lunch in nature, using the food and supplies we brought with us.

Dinner:

We will decide together where to stop for dinner and have a break during our journey.

Preparation:

I recommend keeping a spare pair of shoes and some extra clothes in your car.

You will need hiking boots, a whistle, a walking stick, gaiters, and a raincoat or poncho.

This activity is a nature sport, and it's very important to adhere to the dress code.

Detailed information regarding weather conditions will be provided through a WhatsApp group that will be created before the event.

Two hours spent in the forest. It can have a remarkably positive impact on our bodies. This practice, known as "Shinrin-yoku" or "forest bathing," which is particularly popular in Japan, argues that close contact with nature has beneficial effects on both physical and mental health. Here's what happens in your body during this process:

1. Stress Reduction and Lowered Cortisol Levels.

Spending time in nature reduces levels of cortisol, a hormone known for its role in stress. This can lead to a feeling of being calmer, more relaxed, and more balanced. Additionally, it can also lead to effects such as lower blood pressure and a slower heart rate.

2. Boosts the Immune System.

Trees release volatile organic compounds, known as phytoncides, which boost the immune system. These compounds increase the activity of white blood cells (natural killer cells), thereby enhancing the body's resistance to disease.

3. Mental health improves.

Being in a natural environment can reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression. It can improve focus by providing mental relaxation and a more positive mood. Studies have shown that spending time in forests activates a "relaxation" mode in the brain.

4. Blood pressure and pulse decrease.

Research has shown that spending just two hours in a forest can lower blood pressure and heart rate, thereby contributing positively to cardiovascular health.

5. Aromatic Therapy Effects.

Spending two hours in the forest has a comprehensive "reset" effect, both for your body and mind, allowing you to feel refreshed.
