Cihan Mürtezaoğlu
Cihan Mürtezaoğlu is bringing his musical world, built over the years, to the stage. This event is an invitation for those who love his voice and songs, offering a close look at the journey of a musician's creative process.
Mürtezaoğlu, born in Istanbul and having studied music at Istanbul Bilgi University, seamlessly blends guitar playing, composing, songwriting, and arranging in his career. His collaborations with artists like Anima, Gevende, Yasemin Mori, Ceylan Ertem, Pinhani, Mabel Matiz, and Burcu Tatlıses, as well as his projects "Künt" and "Sen Yağmur Dök," represent significant milestones in his musical journey before he began sharing his own songs with audiences.
Her first single, "Sarı Söz," marked the beginning of a period where her unique voice truly shone. Her subsequent debut solo album, "Bitsin Bu Delilik," brought together her identities as a songwriter, composer, and arranger in a cohesive way. Songs like "Bir Beyaz Orkide," "Sen Banasın," and "Sarı Söz" became gateways to exploring a wide range of emotions.
When we consider these songs together, it's possible to experience Mürtezaoğlu's music as a personal narrative revolving around themes of love, longing, and vulnerability. The evocative imagery of "Bir Beyaz Orkide," the poetic language of "Sarı Söz," and the sense of intimacy in "Sen Banasın" create a space where listeners can project their own memories and experiences onto the songs.
His second album, "Deli Zaman" (Crazy Times), marked a new chapter in this narrative. Tracks like "Esir," "Yollar," and the album's title track, "Deli Zaman," continue the artist's musical journey while introducing listeners to new stories. Each song offers a unique opportunity to experience another facet of his distinctive storytelling.
This concert invites you to an evening where Cihan Mürtezaoğlu's musical journey will intersect with our own stories. We will hear the voice that has accompanied us through our headphones in this very hall, and we will share the emotions evoked by the songs together.
