"Bozmayın Çekiyorum" perfectly captures that very 'moment'.
The play, featuring 8 performers, creates a world that relies on the body, shadow, and the authenticity of masks and puppets, moving beyond words. At the heart of this world is Maryam Şahinyan, Turkey's first female studio photographer, and her archive of over 200,000 black and white photographs.
The exhibition invites us into Maryam's studio... It showcases the bellows camera she hasn't changed in 50 years, the red apple she eats every day, and brings together all the hidden faces of Pera that have come to her studio for photos... Welcome.
