Victor Hugo's timeless masterpiece, "The Last Day of a Condemned Man," is being brought to the stage in a B-B-S production! The play portrays the process of a prisoner's trial and journey to execution, while also prompting the audience to reflect on contemporary issues such as justice, criminal law, and the death penalty, all against the backdrop of a society that views executions as a form of entertainment. In this work, considered one of the first monologues in modern literature, Hugo also highlights the tragicomic aspects of the death penalty. As you witness the story of a man condemned to death, you will find yourself unable to determine who is truly to blame. Is it the murderer who committed the crime, or the society that eagerly anticipates watching the execution as a spectacle? Elif Esra Yıldız is the supervisor of the production, while Onur Yıldız is the director. This time, we will see Can Karaca in a performance as the condemned prisoner. "To be alive. Finally.
