Ayrılık Çeşmesi
"A Short Farewell: The Fountain of Separation," a collection of five short plays, is a reading performance born from the "Short Playwriting Workshop" led by Sıla Erkan at Apartman Sahne. These five monologues, set around the historical Fountain of Separation, represent a farewell to Apartman Sahne's physical space, as the company embarks on a journey to continue its work in different venues.
IBO, the Gravedigger: A Delayed Reunion at the "Fountain of Separation" Cemetery.
The newly appointed cemetery caretaker, Ibrahim Efendi, begins his duties by cleaning the gravestones at the Ayrılık Çeşmesi Cemetery. Each name he encounters takes him on a journey, both into the history of Istanbul and into his own past. Sometimes, the longest journeys lead us to someone we love, who has been waiting for us just a few steps away.

In an era where connections begin and end quickly, Ayşe is searching for someone who is attentive enough to notice the pink daisies she carries to their first meeting. With each new acquaintance, she feels further from that hope, but instead of giving up, Ayşe tries to rediscover the language of love.
