Annemin Cenazesi: Tiyatro Oyunu
Abigail and Darren's mother has passed away, and everyone knows that death can be very expensive. They need a lot of money to hold a proper funeral that would honor her, and they only have twenty-one days to do it. And yes, if you want flowers at the funeral, you have to pay extra.
Abigail, a playwright, finds that the theater doesn't want to produce her play. Desperate to get the money she needs, she returns to the theater with a new play idea, one about her mother. However, there's no guarantee that it will sell enough tickets. Will Abigail be able to raise the necessary funds before time runs out? Will Darren be able to come to terms with his past? And will things finally work out for people from working-class backgrounds?
"My Mother's Funeral: A Play," which invites the audience to question the nature of theater, family, grief, and class conflict, was written by Kelly Jones, one of Britain's leading playwrights. Emre Arslanbek was responsible for the translation and direction of the play.
