Altın Gün
Altın Gün will perform their first Istanbul concert for their sixth studio album, "Garip," on November 13th, organized by Pozitif Müzik, at the Volkswagen Arena.
Fans of Altın Gün will find plenty of the authentic Anatolian sounds they're looking for.
The group, which has garnered worldwide attention with its Grammy nomination, is now turning its focus directly to its roots. The "Garip" album consists entirely of compositions by Neşet Ertaş. Ertaş, one of the most influential *aşık* (traditional Turkish folk singers) of Anatolia in the modern era, has his works reinterpreted within Altın Gün's unique musical style.
Group Composition:
Jasper Verhulst – bass.
* Erdinç Eçevit – vocals, bağlama (a Turkish stringed instrument), keyboard.
* Daniel Smienk – drums
* Chris Bruining – percussion.
* Thijs Elzinga – guitar
