In the film, set after the September 11th attacks, a U.S. special forces team, led by Mitch Nelson, becomes the first American soldiers to set foot in Afghanistan for a highly dangerous mission. Deep within the mountainous terrain, they must convince General Dostum of the United Islamic Liberation Front to join forces with them in order to fight against the Taliban and their allies, Al-Qaeda. In addition to mutual distrust and cultural differences, the American soldiers must adapt to the primitive tactics of the Afghan cavalry. Despite this difficult alliance, the new partners face numerous challenges. Outnumbered and outgunned, they find themselves confronting a ruthless enemy determined to kill them.
