MINIATÜRK.
- A Showcase of Turkey.
Miniatürk, with the slogan "A miniature model of a great country," features 136 miniature models of architectural works, scaled down to 1/25. These include 60 works from Istanbul, 63 from Anatolia, and 13 from Ottoman territories that are now outside of modern-day Turkey.
On one side, we see caravanserais, complexes, schools, bridges, train stations, piers, castles, walls, mausoleums, mosques, churches, synagogues, palaces, villas, obelisks, monuments, and sculptures; while on the other, we are presented with unique natural formations, from Pamukkale to the fairy chimneys, found nowhere else in the world.
In addition to the miniature models, Miniatürk, which is operated by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Culture Inc., also features a café, a souvenir shop, a children's playground, a simulated helicopter tour, and a parking area.
