Music: TR100 Jukebox Events

The "Music TR100" project, launched by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality's Culture Inc. specifically for the 100th anniversary of the Republic, continues to bring together music lovers at the Istanbul Bookstore Kadıköy branch with its Jukebox events. As part of the events, Erhan Sencel, Cengiz Güzel, and Betül Çevik will present their specially curated selections on August 7th, August 21st, and September 4th, respectively.

"Music TR100," which makes the music heritage of Turkey between 1923 and 2023 visible through a comprehensive archive project, brings together works that have left their mark on different periods, along with the original recording formats of the time, such as records, cassettes, and CDs. The project offers the opportunity to follow Turkey's changing music culture through different periods and genres.

The "Music TR100" experience area, which will be part of the event, will offer visitors the opportunity to examine the collection closely and explore the archive-quality content related to Turkey's music history.
