Sorgun Göleti ve Sorgun Yaylası

A reservoir and the surrounding highland pasture 23 km from Güdül town centre, set in black pine forest on the ranges that extend from the Bolu mountains. In the roughly 54-hectare Sorgun Nature Park the lake lies to the north and east, black pine forest to the south and wide meadows to the west. Entry is controlled; picnicking, tent and caravan camping, walking and running, and bird and plant watching are allowed as supervised activities. Two roads lead here, one via Güdül towards Yeşilöz and one turning towards Çeltikçi at the 60th kilometre of the Ankara-Istanbul road. Winters on the plateau are cold and snowy, so late spring and summer are the easiest seasons.
