About Venue
At the head of Atatürk Bulvarı in Ulus, in the neoclassical building of 1933-34 that the Austrian architect Clemens Holzmeister designed as the headquarters of the Emlak ve Eytam Bank. After the building passed to the PTT it was restored and opened in October 2013 as Turkey's first and only stamp museum. Five floors and 6,500 square metres hold 4,404 original stamps and some 1,500 from countries around the world, the history of post and communications from the Ottoman era to the Republic, thematic stamp collections, interactive screens, a cinema room, a workshop and a stamp shop. The top floor is given to stamps from the 189 member states of the Universal Postal Union. Confirm opening days and entry conditions from an official source.
