İzmir Saat Kulesi

Come home from İzmir without a photo of this tower and nobody will believe you went. It was raised in 1901 for the 25th year of Sultan Abdülhamid II's reign, with fountains on four sides, marble columns and a permanent crowd of pigeons. Fifteen minutes is enough to see it, but the sea air on the square will keep you longer, promise.
