Güvenpark ve Kızılay Meydanı

At the heart of Kızılay Square, Güvenpark is small, but every line in the city crosses here; it is laid out around the 1935 Güven Monument by Anton Hanak and Josef Thorak. Sit on a bench for ten minutes and you have taken Ankara's pulse. Around it are the fish-sandwich stalls and bars of Sakarya Street and the bookshops and cafes of Karanfil and Konur streets. The metro and Ankaray run right beneath you.
