About Venue
The last and largest building of the Presidential Complex, opened on 20 February 2020. Its 125,000 square metres of floor space seat more than five thousand readers; according to the official site it holds more than five million printed items in 134 languages and, together with the documents of the State Archives, more than 140 million resources in all. The Cihannüma Hall, the Rare Works Library, the Research Library, the Nasreddin Hoca Children's Library, the Youth Library and the Audio and Video Library are separate sections; the Cihannüma Hall and the second-floor reading rooms are open around the clock, seven days a week, apart from a weekly cleaning closure. It is open to the whole public and everyone over five is asked for ID; citizens register free through e-Devlet or at the desk, while a visitor with only a passport enters on a fast-pass card without access to services. As a legal-deposit library it lends no books outside. EGO routes 167, 449, 339-7 and 479 stop in front of and across from it.
