ÜZÜMCE'DEN İNCİRBOĞAZI'NA YEŞİL TÜNEL
Dear friends, this activity is suitable for beginners and features a very enjoyable route. Weather permitting, we may have the opportunity to grill sausages and bread at the end of the activity, and perhaps even dip our feet in the sea.
İncirboğazı is a small, charming bay located near Riva, which is part of the Beykoz district. A stream flows into the Black Sea from this area, and the back of the bay is surrounded by forest. The trail starts in the forested area and leads to the bay at its end.
We will begin our journey at 7:30 AM, picking up nature and hiking enthusiasts from the first stop and then setting off. Along the way, we will stop at a village cafe in Bozhane for a breakfast break. After enjoying the breakfast we brought with us, we will begin our hike. We will have a short drive to reach the trailhead. After a 10-minute drive, we will arrive at the starting point of the trail.
The village of Bozhane has a bakery and a grocery store, where you can purchase the necessities you need.
Bozhane Village:
Bozhane Village is a charming neighborhood located 50 km from the center of Istanbul and 28 km from the Beykoz district. Bozhane Village, with its blend of historical buildings and modern structures, is home to a total of 150 households.
This village, a gem of Beykoz, is one of the most beautiful villages in Istanbul. It is more commonly known as Bozhane Village. Historically, Bozhane Village was inhabited by Turkmen people. The villagers, who made their living through animal husbandry, grazed their animals in the open green areas. The Riva River was an important source of water for these animals and the villagers. However, there was no place for the villagers to shelter their animals during bad weather. Therefore, the villagers began building a simple structure to protect their animals from the cold.
We will follow a trail consisting entirely of forest paths, offering beautiful views, and leading to the Black Sea. After approximately 8.5 kilometers of walking, we will reach the coast and one of the beautiful beaches of the Black Sea. If the weather permits, we will have a traditional Turkish snack of sausage and bread.
