Öykü Dörter was born in Istanbul on March 11, 1995. After studying International Relations at Koç University, Dörter continued her musical pursuits in the United States, where she studied music at UCLA and performed on various stages in Los Angeles. She has developed a multicultural musical identity by blending Turkish, English, and Spanish languages in her work.

After returning to Istanbul, the artist established her own label and studio, and during this period, she organized sessions focused on composition and production with various musicians. Since 1998, Öykü Dörter has continued her music career independently, and in 1998, she gained significant momentum with the release of her debut EP, "Delirdim." Her subsequent first album, "Senden Önce Ben Kimdim," garnered widespread acclaim from listeners for its blend of diverse styles and its powerful storytelling.

Öykü Dörter, known for her diverse productions spanning alternative pop, R&B, and rock genres, has cultivated a strong connection with her audience through her songwriting, composing, and production style, as well as the authentic content she creates on YouTube.
