Icons of American folk music, Midlake make a masterful comeback, striking a broad balance between radiant folk and thoughtful rock.
The Texas-based band Midlake draws its roots from the indie rock scene while bringing with it a vision of modern American culture through expansive guitar riffs, vintage keyboards, and a cinematic atmosphere. Their melodies recall The Beach Boys, while their vocal harmonies bring to mind folk groups from the sixties and seventies. Signed to Bella Union and rarely seen in Europe, Midlake will be in Ankara to present their new album A Bridge Too Far.
