The performance, titled "Mahalle Yanarken" (Neighborhood Ablaze), begins with Ezgi Emel and Mehmet Yaşar Altundağ taking the stage together.

"While the Neighborhood Burns" is a look at the big problems of our small humanity, those who struggle to keep up with the pace of modernity and are overwhelmed by postmodernity. In this format, we will explore sociology, philosophy, and history, not in a dry, academic setting, but with the warmth and intimacy of a neighborhood coffee shop. We will blend street language with high culture, and humor with tragedy. Our goal is not to save the world, but to create and embody that safe space on stage where we can comb our hair while the world burns, and to give it meaning.
