Kibarlık Budalası

In 17th-century France, Monsieur Jourdain is a wealthy but ignorant and naive man with one overriding ambition: to become a nobleman. To achieve this, he is willing to do anything, undertaking countless endeavors, both meaningful and nonsensical, useful and useless, but always expensive. He finds himself in ridiculous situations and becomes the subject of ridicule, but he never gives up. His goal is clear: to enter the ranks of the nobility, to seduce a noble Marquis, and to marry his only daughter to a "gentleman." However, his daughter is in love with another young man. Molière weaves a complex tapestry around this extraordinary character, surrounding him with a Count who seeks to exploit him, his down-to-earth wife, and servants who represent common sense and sincerity. Almost every line is humorous, and every situation is absurd in this play.
