İclal Aydın Ama Değil, RAĞMEN
The central focus of the scene is Iclal Aydın's study.
In this room, countless novels have been written, thousands of books have been read, and there are sculptures, paintings, and photographs...
While the story initially seems personal, as you watch it, you begin to uncover valuable emotions that are deeply embedded in our country's collective memory.
As Iclal Aydın speaks, she evokes the beauty found in every corner of the country, and we are confronted with the things that have been forgotten.
We are realizing that the "new world" that is being imposed on us is actually designed to make us forget what we already know.
Sometimes our eyes well up with tears, and sometimes our laughter echoes.
And in this performance, despite everything, we remember each other, and we remember ourselves.
Because the values that unite us are not extinguished and, like a "living tree," they continue to flourish and bear fruit, deeply rooted in the soil.
But not, rather, despite.
Monodrama.

"I am carrying the lessons I'm learning from the past into the future..."
"I am a Messenger of Heritage."
Iclal Aydın brings together not only the language of theater on stage, but also storytelling, poetry, music, and the visual arts.
A journey that stretches from Eastern Anatolia to Cappadocia, from Cappadocia to the Aegean region, across the water, beyond the mountains, to the capital, and then to Istanbul...
It's a Turkish story, sometimes filled with sadness, sometimes with laughter, about a grandmother who dies in the place where she was born, and a grandchild who can't stay still.
But rather, it reminds us that despite everything, it is possible to reunite, to flourish, and to grow, especially in matters of love, hope, and the human spirit.
Iclal Aydın says, "We are the children of this country, despite the struggles we face in our genes." And she addresses her audience, with whom she has shared 30 years:
"I am a messenger of heritage."
But actually... aren't we all, in a way, messengers of a legacy?
"If one person's pain cannot bring healing to another, then what is the meaning of all of this?"
