The story of the Turkish workers who went to Germany in the 1960s begins right here, at the Sirkeci Train Station.

"HEIM – A Migration Story" tells this journey through the story of Kemal, one of the people who boarded the train. You will witness a particular era as you listen to Kemal's memories, which are sometimes poignant and sometimes humorous, as he unexpectedly finds himself on his way to Germany.

Our story contains pain, sadness, and longing. But most importantly, it contains love for our homeland.
