The Hatay Academic Symphony Orchestra presents "Echoes of Beirut: A Fairuz Symphony" on November 21st at the Çukurova University Congress Center.
The timeless songs of Fairuz, the legendary voice of Arab music, are being brought to life once again, this time through a symphonic interpretation.
With its strong ensemble of 45 musicians and under the direction of conductor Ali Uğur, the Hatay Academy Symphony Orchestra creates a captivating bridge between East and West, blending the rich textures of strings and wind instruments with traditional instruments like the kaval (a type of flute) and the kanun (a stringed instrument).
Fairuz's iconic songs, etched in the memories of many, are being reinterpreted with original arrangements, and each piece invites the listener on an emotional and nostalgic journey through the streets of Beirut.
This special concert brings together classical music and the rich melodic heritage of the Middle East, offering both a familiar and a completely new Fairuz experience.
