Drink The Sea, bringing together R.E.M. founding guitarist Peter Buck, Mad Season and Screaming Trees drummer Barrett Martin, Alain Johannes, known for his work with Queens of the Stone Age and Them Crooked Vultures, and British musician Duke Garwood, will take the stage at IF Performance Hall Beşiktaş on October 31.

DRINK THE SEA IN ISTANBUL FOR THE FIRST TIME

Drink The Sea, the international supergroup bringing together prominent names from the alternative rock world, will meet music lovers on Saturday evening, October 31, 2026, at IF Performance Hall Beşiktaş. The concert, organized by OYL Organizasyon, will host a special night that brings rock listeners from different generations together on the same stage.

The band’s lineup features Peter Buck, R.E.M.’s founding guitarist and songwriter; Barrett Martin, drummer for Mad Season and Screaming Trees; versatile musician Alain Johannes, known for his work with Queens of the Stone Age, Them Crooked Vultures, and Eleven; and British singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Duke Garwood.

Drink The Sea stands out for recording processes carried out in different parts of the world. Shaped through a creative process spanning Olympia, Reykjavik, São Paulo, Joshua Tree, Santiago, and Barcelona, the band brings alternative rock, folk, and world music together with an original sensibility.

Enriching its traditional guitar, bass, and drums-based structure with Arabic oud, Indian sitar, Indonesian gamelans, and percussion instruments from different regions, Drink The Sea offers listeners an intercultural musical experience.

This special performance, which will bring together on one stage musicians who have been involved in projects that defined different eras of rock music, is set to become one of the standout concerts of fall 2026.
