Dertli Divani Konseri
Dertli Divani connects with his audience through special concerts he calls "The Market of Love." This folk poet, Aşık Dertli Divani, follows in the footsteps of Yunus, who said, "Listen, oh my friends, love is like the sun, and a heart without love is like a stone..." Aşık Dertli Divani, who says, "One side of me is Yunus, the other is Pir Sultan," has performed significant works in 7 solo albums and 16 different albums. He appeared in the documentary "Hacı Bektaş Veli and the Cem Ceremony," which was filmed and broadcast by TRT in 2002. His work has been the subject of 19 undergraduate and graduate theses in universities in Turkey and other countries. In 2010, the great master Neşet Ertaş and Aşık Dertli Divani were declared "Living Human Treasures" by the United Nations cultural organization UNESCO for their contributions to the traditions of "ozanlık-abdallık" (poet-vagabond) and "aşıklık-zakirlik" (love poet-devotee), respectively.
