As they connect with the place, the region transforms, and Barın Han becomes a living part of the narrative. In this experience, where the lines between reality and fiction blur, the audience finds themselves immersed in the journey. Because everyone who enters the region cannot leave without forming a connection to it."

Bachmann: Broken Poetry.
Mina Kocailik.
The artist Mîna Kocailik invites us on a visual journey through excerpts from the poems of Austrian feminist writer and poet Ingeborg Bachmann. The artist, who explores the interconnectedness of literature and art, incorporates selected lines from Bachmann's various poems into the surfaces of her paintings, created using mixed techniques. By reassembling these lines using collage, Kocailik creates a new poem from Bachmann's words, while simultaneously creating a series of visual poems where individual works and the whole work together. Bachmann's words are deconstructed, reassembled, and transformed into a different language within Kocailik's paintings. The resulting series opens up a space of visual poetry where poetry transforms into painting, and painting into poetry, blurring the boundaries between these two disciplines.

Double Contact: A Memory and Repair Experience.

The visitor experiences the profound isolation of the pre-birth period within a space resembling a womb. Upon stepping out of this enclosed area, they are confronted with the artwork "Double Contact," which forces them to confront the existential "thrownness" of being in the world and the moment of birth.
The artwork centers around the Palmer Reflex, the first biological connection a baby makes with the world. The setup in front of the artwork allows visitors to directly interact with the paper, allowing them to connect with the space's historical memory. This interaction transforms the viewer from a passive observer into an active participant in the narrative; visitors leave a part of themselves on the pages they choose to engage with, creating an enduring, spiritual connection to Barın Han.

DREAMS - UPON WAKING.
Mina Kocailik and Ceren Yılmaz.
Mina Kocailik and Ceren Yılmaz are two artists who utilize Barın Han not only as an exhibition space, but also as an integral part of their creative process. After meeting at Barın Han, the connection they formed between their works, initially not intended for display, evolved into a meeting point for two distinct artistic practices within a shared space.
In Kocailik's painting "Dreams," as the artwork explores the themes of dream, body, and liberation, Yılmaz's butterfly, titled "Upon Awakening," appears as if emerging from the painting's dreamlike world into reality, landing near it. However, in this transition, it loses its wholeness.
One of the philosophical starting points of "The Awakening" is Zhuangzi's butterfly dream, which blurs the distinction between humans and butterflies, between the dreamer and the one being dreamed of. The encounter between the two adds a new possibility to this question:
Can something that is complete in a dream remain complete when it becomes reality?
Is it a dream?
