The captivating sounds of gothic and symphonic metal will be experienced for the first time in Izmir at the SoldOut Performance Hall on December 5th, 2026, featuring the band Blackbriar!
Blackbriar, one of the most prominent bands in the Dutch symphonic and gothic metal scene in recent years, is embarking on its first tour of Turkey. Following a sold-out concert in Istanbul in 2025, fans now have the opportunity to see the band live in three cities. Organized by Vera Müzik and sponsored by Karnaval media, the tour will feature performances on December 4th at the IF Performance Hall in Beşiktaş, Istanbul; December 5th at the SoldOut Performance Hall in Izmir; and December 6th at the Milyon Event Hall in Ankara.
From Digital Discovery to Global Stages: A Story of Success.
Founded in Assen in 2012, Blackbriar achieved significant organic and digitally-focused growth, breaking away from traditional industry practices. In their early days, tracks like "Until Eternity" and "Preserved Roses," released independently, garnered millions of views on YouTube, propelling the band to international recognition. Following this widespread digital success, the band joined Nuclear Blast Records, one of the most prestigious record labels in the metal world, solidifying their position on the global stage. The band, which describes its style as "alternative gothic metal," has also proven its live performance capabilities by touring with prominent names in the genre, such as Epica, Halestorm, and Delain.

Blackbriar's music is not just about powerful symphonic arrangements; it also features compelling storytelling that draws the listener in. The vocalist, Zora Cock, has a distinctive vocal style that is fairytale-like, cinematic, and reminiscent of a mythical mermaid, which is a defining characteristic of the band. The band's lyrics explore themes of Victorian aesthetics, dark romance, ghost stories, and abandoned, mystical landscapes, and they bring this grand atmosphere to life on stage with a theatrical visual presentation.
The Dutch quintet, at the peak of their creative output, have refreshed their discography with their brand new EP, "Our Long Cursed Sleep," released in June of this year, following their highly acclaimed album "A Thousand Little Deaths." Attendees will have the opportunity to hear both their new tracks and the band's iconic hits live, making these three concerts contenders for one of the most captivating performances of the year.
