A vibrant "Şehnaz"! This musical production, "Şehnaz," transports you to the colorful atmosphere of 1914 Istanbul, exploring themes of love, power, relationships between men and women, societal pressures, and the contradictions of a changing world. It does so through satire, comedy, and the possibilities of musical theater, incorporating the songs, laughter, and romance of old Istanbul. With a massive 16-piece live orchestra, an award-winning creative team, and a cast of 50 talented actors, this production promises a spectacular experience.
Şehnaz, who lives in the vibrant world of Galata, falls in love with Müştak, a kind and modest man who addresses her as "madam." However, this love will not only disrupt the lives of the two individuals, but also the established order of the time. Şehnaz and Müştak's story is not just about the love between two people. Around them are characters like Madam Surpik, Police Chief Recep, Baron Refik, and a host of other colorful personalities, who recreate the Istanbul of that era with laughter, music, dance, and operetta. On one side, there is the pursuit of love and freedom, while on the other, there is oppression, societal norms, and the changing face of society.
