Bir İdam Mahkumunun Son Günü
"The Last Day of a Condemned Man" - A Play.
Age Restriction: 16+
Duration: 70 minutes.
Victor Hugo's timeless masterpiece, "The Last Day of a Condemned Man," is being brought to the stage by Go Theatre!
The play depicts the journey of a prisoner, from their trial to their execution, while also portraying a society where the public watches executions as a form of entertainment. It encourages the audience to reflect on contemporary issues such as justice, criminal law, and the death penalty.
Considered one of the first monologues in modern literature, this work by Hugo also highlights the tragicomic aspects of the death penalty. As you witness the story of a man sentenced to death, you will find it impossible to determine who is truly to blame. Is it the murderer who committed the crime, or the society that eagerly anticipates watching the execution as if it were a spectacle?
"You're alive. Finally. You're okay. Stay that way. Farewell."
