"A Diary of a Madman" - A Play.

The play focuses on the life of a small-time government official, Nikolay, who lived through periods of dictatorship. It tells the story of the protagonist, Poprichin, and his descent into madness. His life, already stifling and monotonous, becomes increasingly chaotic as he grapples with his growing obsession with his boss's daughter. Aksentiy Ivanovich Poprichin's struggles against the dictatorial system and the psychological trauma he endures lead him to believe he is the King of Spain, ultimately culminating in his confinement in a mental institution.
