Anadolu Ateşi
Anadolu Fire is waiting for you to experience an unforgettable evening.
The core concept of Anadolu Fire is the meeting of civilizations. It is a dance performance that aims to bring together Eastern and Western cultures and convey universal messages of peace. By synthesizing folk dances with ballet, modern dance, and other dance disciplines, it presents a modern show and a cultural festival to the world. Drawing on Anadolu's thousands of years of mythological and cultural history, Anadolu Fire is a unique project that encompasses approximately 3,000 folk dance figures and folk music from almost every region. The project, bearing the signature of Mustafa Erdoğan, aims to introduce the fire of Anadolu's thousands of years of culture and history, blended with peace, to the world.
In 1999, Mustafa Erdoğan, taking the first step to realize a dream that had been brewing for years, launched the dynamic work of the project, formerly known as "Sultan's of the Dance." Initially, advertisements were placed in newspapers stating "Dancer Wanted." Out of 750 applicants, 90 young people were selected, and a challenging work schedule of one and a half years began. Work sessions lasting 8 hours a day, sometimes up to 16 hours... Costumes were prepared, music was completed. Work was done with esthetic exercises, a dietitian, and a massage therapist. Stretching and yoga were practiced. Work focused on the steps of folk dances, ballet, and modern dance. Dancers took theoretical lessons on the notation of Anadolu rhythms.
And on May 3, 2001, after performing for 3-4 shows and with the decision to extend the Turkish program, which was planned to be performed abroad, due to the tickets having sold out months in advance, the decision was made to extend the Turkish program. Anadolu Fire began its world tour in 2002, performing 3,500 shows in 85 countries (with multiple visits to many countries). The group, which has been watched by more than 20 million art lovers, has been recognized as one of the leading dance groups in the world, thanks to its international tours and promotional activities. The group performed in major events in our country, such as Eurovision 2004 and the Universiade 2005, and was warmly applauded by leaders of the country, including presidents and prime ministers.
Since 2001, Anadolu Fire has performed in Israel, Germany, China, the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, the K.K.T.C., Japan, Austria, Qatar, Lebanon, Russia, Azerbaijan, Jordan, Siberia, Romania, Bulgaria, Egypt, France, America, Hungary, Sarajevo, Bahrain, Malaysia, Greece, Georgia, Macedonia, Serbia, Croatia, Dubai, Slovenia, Poland, Belarus, Latvia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Crimea, New Zealand, Tunisia, Italy, Slovakia, Albania, Palestine, Spain, Portugal, Syria, England, Martinique (Caribbean), and has introduced Anadolu culture to the world.
