36. Akbank Caz Festivali: Sasha Berliner

Sasha Berliner, based in Los Angeles, JazzTimes Sasha Berliner is an award-winning vibraphonist and composer, described as a "young virtuoso." She achieved first place in the "Rising Star Vibraphonist" category in the DownBeat Critics Poll and was featured in NPR's Jazz Night in America's 2024 Youngbloods showcase. In recent projects, Berliner has shared the stage with prominent figures such as Christian McBride, Tyshawn Sorey, Marcus Gilmore, The HR Big Band, and Cécile McLorin Salvant. She continues her work with her own quintet, also undertaking international tours. Sasha Berliner will perform at the Borusan Music House on October 8th as part of the 36th Akbank Jazz Festival. To date, she has recorded with numerous musicians and groups outside of the jazz scene, including Juicy J, Flea, and The Free Nationals. Her solo discography includes three studio albums released between 2019 and 2025.
